New Zealand 1936 5d multiple wmk – unlisted perf 13½x13
We have a block of the 5d Swordfish that appears to be an
unlisted perforation gauge.
Stanley Gibbons list under SG584 in Part 1 2001 edition the
following:
- Perf
13-14 x 13½
- Perf
12½
- Perf
14 x 13½
The block measures perf 13½x13, see illustrations
While there is a footnote after SG590 saying there are
variations in these perfs within the sheet, none of these is consistent with a
vertical perf of 13. Is this something
new or do the perfs just vary that much on this issue? Maybe an NZ specialist will know the answer.
